Vision, Mission and Goals of Mechanical Engineering Department

Vision, Mission and Goals of Mechanical Engineering Department

The Mechanical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering/ University of Anbar offers engineering programs leading to the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering. The B.Sc. degree is awarded in the “General Mechanical Engineering “, whereas the M.Sc. degree cover two research areas, namely “Power” and “Applied Mechanics”.

As a community of scholars, we create and share knowledge at the highest levels through our educational and research programs. We are committed to improving lives and livelihoods through research in the science and technology of mechanical engineering and delivering a superior and forward-looking education to our students

Vision:

To be one of the leading Mechanical Engineering programs in order to improve and serve local and global communities.

Mission:

To contribute in high-quality education and encourage scientific research in Mechanical Engineering that helps in solving mechanical problems with professional engineering ethics by employing modern technology and accepted standards.

Goals:

1.     Provide a high quality of mechanical engineering education via outstanding teaching, innovative curriculum, and career-relevant training programs.

2.     Encourage and promote execution innovative research and find solutions for the complex problems related to mechanical engineering.

3.     Prepare mechanical engineers adhered to the professional ethics, applicable laws and the accepted standards to prevent corruption and functional deviation.

4.     Promote the quality of education and scientific research for the academic staff and employees of the department.
