University of Anbar’s College of Engineering Strengthens Ties with UPM University in Malaysia
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance international academic and research collaboration, a delegation from the College of Engineering – University of Anbar visited the College of Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
The delegation met with the Dean of the College of Engineering, Associate Deans, and heads of academic departments at UPM. The meeting featured presentations from both sides, showcasing the academic and research capacities of each institution. Discussions focused on establishing mechanisms for scientific and research cooperation, promoting student and faculty exchange programs, and coordinating the organization of joint conferences, workshops, and other academic events.

Both parties stressed the importance of accelerating the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Anbar and UPM, recognizing its vital role in strengthening ties and fostering collaboration between the two universities.
The visit concluded with a tour of UPM’s scientific laboratories, where the delegation explored the facilities and discussed potential areas for joint research and innovation
