A training course entitled “Scientific Journals and the Mechanisms for Assessing Their Credibility” is being organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering – University of Anbar
in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center – University of Anbar. The course is held as part of the department’s activities for the second semester of the academic year 2025–2026, during the period 8–10 March 2026.

This course aims to familiarize participants with methods for verifying the credibility of scientific journals, distinguishing between reputable journals and predatory journals, and identifying major academic databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. The course is designed to assist researchers in selecting appropriate journals for publishing their scientific research.
