This research aims to investigate the potential of enhancing the bond strength between concrete and reinforcing steel through the application of epoxy-based hybrid coatings reinforced with various filler materials, and to evaluate their performance under different corrosion conditions. The study includes accelerating the corrosion process using Faraday’s Law at varying mass loss ratios, followed by assessing its impact on bond behavior and load transfer capability.
Overall, the project focuses on developing hybrid coating solutions capable of mitigating corrosion effects while maintaining bond capacity and bond–slip behavior in both normal-strength and high-strength concrete, thereby contributing to improved durability and extended service life of reinforced concrete structures.
The seminar concluded with scientific recommendations for the researcher and future researchers regarding the advancement of studies in this field and the expansion of experimental work.
